Welcome to Wärtsilä-Arcada homepage! Wärtsilä-Arcada is a Finnish 49er Olympic sailing project. Lauri Lehtinen and Heikki Soininen form one of the youngest 49er sailing teams. 49er is a quick, 5 meter long, doublehanded sailing dinghy. The team started sailing 49er in the fall 2005, after being successful in the junior classes. The sailors are part of the Finnish sailing federations Olympic training programs and the Finnish Olympic committees youth group. Through systematic training the team is now one of the top teams in Finland. The long-term main goal is to win an Olympic medal in the London 2012 Olympic games. Through this website you can follow these young sailors on their way to glory and fame.
